“Coming to my essences”
Welcome — I'm Jasmine. I live in a wide, open valley in rural New Zealand that has now held four generations of my family. Though I was born here, I spent many years away before the valley's quiet pull drew me back. With help, I then transformed an old barn into a beautiful home sanctuary.
Despite this dream realized, my life held many incongruences. A few years after returning, I endured a period of intense health and emotional crisis — a "perfect storm" that catalyzed an overdue transformation in how I engaged with life.
Real change began through a simple practice: walking the valley road, daily. My habitual thoughts slowly yielded to curiosity and presence as I opened to what I could see, hear, smell, touch, and taste.
During these "meadowtations," I found myself drawn to the deep blue sky southward. It was the vast spaciousness, gentle softness, and open warmth of the sky that had me. I noticed how the roadside flowers, when observed closely, also emanated the same qualities. Qualities I’d not noticed when life was busy. I naturally began naming these essence-qualities.
One clear day, as I stood on the bridge looking south—again mesmerized by the expanse of blue above— I had a quiet yet profound epiphany: that only by inhabiting spaciousness could I recognize it. The qualities emanating through the sky mirrored my own essential nature. I was discovering my essence through my senses.
This essence-awareness opened a new path toward Wholeness. Being more whole, many old struggles simply fell away, and any remaining survival patterns could now be met with this spaciousness, softness, and warmth. Held in this essential embrace, my nervous system could truly rest, heal, and create anew.
INNER MENTOR
Around the time I began my daily walking, I was inspired to do a guided visualization to meet my inner mentor.. Meeting her — quiet, wise, radiant — and being welcomed into the sanctuary of her home, marked the beginning of a rich companionship. One that would weave itself through my journey in countless ways. Our early dialogues unfolded on journal pages, but gradually something shifted: her wisdom and ways began to take root within me. Her rhythms became my rhythms, her insights my own, her essence quietly integrating into the fabric of my being.
As my journey deepened, I found myself walking naturally alongside others—whether in physical presence or online—often offering companionship and gentle guidance. I held no formal title then, but I came to see the people who walked alongside me as profound gifts. In serving them, I was being shaped and refined; they became my teachers in the truest sense. I began to see a beautiful symmetry: Just as my inner mentor had illuminated my way, I was now offering that same presence to others.
The visualization through which I first met my inner mentor came from Tara Mohr. In 2023, I completed Tara's Coaching-Way training. I was drawn to how it wove together tools that had already illuminated my own path— the inner mentor visualization among them. What moved me most was how the coaching-way embodied what I now call the essence-way — wisdom emerging not only through technique, but from the depths of authentic connection. Time and again in coaching conversations, I found myself in quiet awe of what would arise.
I stopped designing, and arguing, and sculpting a happy life.
I didn't die. I didn't turn to dust.
Instead I chopped vegetables, and made a calm lake in me
where the water was clear and sourced and still.
And when the ones I loved came to it,
I had something to give them...

Flourishing with diversity
While I treasure the privilege of companionship work, I equally honor the other ways that weave through my days. These varied expressions of creativity and care nourish one another in unexpected ways..

Tending the garden
Gardening has been woven into my life since I first learned to walk. Alongside coaching, I have a small gardening business — with my hands in the dirt and fresh air in my lungs, it provides wonderful balance and grounding. Whether weeding, pruning, planting, nourishing the soil or harvesting, I find that tending a garden mirrors the tending of my soul. I love the collaborative spirit of this work and the gifts it continually offers.
Interior architecture
I've always been drawn to creating beautiful and thoughtfull spaces—whether interior, or exterior. Though I studied interior architecture at university, I quickly discovered that office life wasn't my calling. What I came to see is that this training was a hint of a different sort of work to come — exploring the interior architecture of the psyche and soul.
Nourishing food
I find deep joy in crafting seasonal food in the kitchen, whether for myself or for others on retreats. The kitchen and dining table become gathering places where rich, meaningful conversations naturally unfold. To me, food—with all its sensory depths and alchemical transformations—becomes a doorway into essence itself.
Inspired learning
I'm continually amazed by how, whenever I venture into new territory, a book finds its way to me—offering a resounding YES that both affirms my new unfolding and propels me forward. This has led me to immerse myself in countless books and podcasts from inspiring voices, each one illuminating another step along my path.
Creating art
Whether painting, drawing, or crafting furniture in my workshop, my hands move with an innate knowing. I've come to see the present moment itself as a living work of art — and when hands-on creation arises within it, that's added grace. Art has been integral to my wholeness journey, with each piece I create holding wisdom that reveals itself precisely when I'm prepared to receive it.
If any of this resonates, I'd love to walk alongside you.
