WHERE REST, NOURISHMENT, AND CONNECTION FOSTERS CREATIVITY

  • A light blue cloud shape on a black background.

These creative retreats —held in the relaxed and spacious setting of Peacemakers retreat center — are designed for you to explore your creativity at your own pace.

We will offer SoulCollage®, creative writing, Labyrinth, and the Playing Big resources of Tara Mohr. There will be delicious food, and 1:1 coaching if needed. Here you’ll create more lightness in your outlook on life, and your creativity.

Your experience

Whatever season you are inhabiting in the creativity cycle, you will be encouraged and supported. Summers will have a lot to show with high energy and output; Autumns may still be productive, but beginning to slow down, refining and celebrating; Winters will be going within to reflect, rest, pause; Springs will be dreaming, emerging, playing.

All seasons are needed for creativity and all are welcome.

your hosts..

  • The common theme that winds through Shannon’s life is seeing potential in others and collaborating with them to assist more of their emergence in the world. Whether through coaching sport, listening well through counselling, being a mother and care-giver, or facilitating group spaces. All these creative endeavours have more recently been joined by old-school writing with fountain pen on paper. The act of using beautiful ink, green or purple, to form words has seen poetry and short stories arrive on the page. This intuitive writing has helped Shannon connect more deeply with nature, to heal, and find a new unexpected sense of her ‘work-to-do-in-the-world’.

Having stumbled into creativity with the support and encouragement of others, Shannon longs to facilitate spaces for others to do the same. Especially those who say they are not creative. (Pssst - we are all creative!)

  • Jasmine loves creating. Whether crafting seasonal food in the kitchen, tending a garden, making art, designing spaces, or shaping furniture in her workshop, her hands move with an innate knowing. She loves how art—or any creative act—can reveal more about ourselves when we're ready to see it.

For the retreats, Jasmine brings her deep love of cooking, where the alchemy of preparing nourishing meals becomes part of the contemplative experience. To her, the kitchen and dining table are spaces where rich conversations naturally unfold alongside the sensory gifts of food.

Jasmine also offers coaching in the Tara Mohr style and essence companionship. She loves journeying alongside people as they discover their wholeness through essence qualities—aliveness, freshness, spaciousness. She sees these not just as concepts but as lived experiences that emerge through our senses and guide how we create and live.

An avid reader of books about creativity, spirituality, and psychology, Jasmine has now embarked on writing her own—a memoir about "coming to her essences," a journey of discovering essence through her senses while walking daily in nature (her beloved "meadowtations"). Jasmine's path has been far from easy, marked by numerous health crises, yet these became the catalyst for meeting life in a whole new way.

  • Rose loves story.  She has heard many stories shared, particularly children’s stories of grief, loss and change. She sees the huge treasure that are people’s stories, recognizes the creativity, resilience and beauty that each story carries.

Rose also writes, having focused on producing children’s picture books about emotional literacy and problem solving. She enjoys the challenge of breaking down big ideas into simpler concepts for young minds and particularly loves that moment when an idea hits just right and true magic happens.

Rose’s current project is a bit of a gnarly one, as she is writing her first adult non-fiction book, due to come out in the first half of 2026. Rose’s writing develops best when she has unlimited access to tea, colourful teapots to pour from, happy mugs to drink from and of course, fresh baked goods to nibble on.

Rose’s own story of creativity is crooked and winding, with joys, disappointments and mishaps along the way, so she understands the spectrum of feelings we can feel when it comes to our own very personal creative pursuits.

WHAT’S INCLUDED:

Accommodation and delicious nourishing food

The Mother House at Peacemakers Retreat Centre is a historic homestead built around 1900. She is full of character and charm and has only two single rooms. All others are twin shares and we suggest you come with a friend if you prefer to know your room mate.

Each meal is a taste sensation as Jaz works her magic with fresh seasonal food that is a delight to the eye and the tongue. She is open to helpers in the kitchen and this is often a place of unexpected encounters and conversation.

SoulCollage

This process uses intuition, imagination and creativity as you make a small collage and then engage in a guided conversation with a partner. The flow of the conversation allows your inner wisdom to emerge from your collage in a safe and supportive way. All materials are provided.

Creative Writing

Creative writing can mean different things to each individual; we can become paralysed by the way others have defined it for us, whether through myth-telling, comparison, expectation or pressure. At other times we will seek a return to our unique ways of sparking creative energy, so we can engage with our writing in a refreshing and inspiring way. By recognising and connecting with the season we are currently experiencing, we can reduce our concerns around productivity and performance, and instead settle in to find out what might be stirring us to contemplate on, begin, continue or complete our writing.

The Labyrinth

The Labyrinth is an ancient symbol patterned from the sacred geometry of the natural world, the spiral and circle.  There is only one way in and one way out. All you need to focus on is where to place each foot on the path and notice the experience of walking.

Notice what you hear, smell, feel, see, sense, touch and notice how these may speak to you. A guided experience of walking the Labyrinth will be offered as a meditative walk to allow slowing down and reflection to allow creativity to percolate within you.

Tara Mohr

Tara Mohr leads women to “play big” in their lives in whatever way is most authentic. This approach isn't about hustle or hype it's about returning to your inner knowing, quieting the voice of fear, and learning to trust your own wisdom.

Jasmine and Shannon have both trained with Tara and will be weaving some of her approach into our two days together. Jasmine will be offering 1:1 40min coaching sessions at an extra cost if anyone feels drawn to explore what is coming up in their creative process more deeply.
